| Many years ago, Alfonso, Joan, and Pascual—members of the Panzers 3 community—created a Spanish Civil War mod for Panzers 2, introducing various units from the conflict. Unfortunately, the mod was limited to replacing existing in-game units, making it incompatible with the original Panzers 2 gameplay and any other mods that utilized those same units. Furthermore, the final version was incomplete and missing files.
Recently, I decided to make a substantial contribution to this community and do my part to honor and enhance the enjoyment of these great games and mods;
so, here is the first version of my Spanish Civil War Mod Remake for Panzers 3.
Content
Units
The mod introduces the following units to the game- Spanish Army Infantry (SPR/SPA)
- Army of Africa Infantry (SPA)
- Workers' Militias (SPR)
- CV-33, Pz I, T-26, and BT-5 armored vehicles with faction markings (SPA/SPR)
- Republican People's Army Infantry (SPR)
Demo Map- Includes an ahistorical scenario, "The Capture of Medina de Pomar," which serves as a demo for the mod.
Icons and Flags- Units display faction icons, and capturable ingame flags feature the flags of the 1936–1938 period.
Inside the file's readme, you will find a full explanation of the mod's internal workings and installation instructions.
As always, I recommend using a universal mod manager, such as Generic Mod Enabler to avoid losing files due to overwriting.
