since the game does not recognize the Japanese hero with crew inside a

For the Japanese hero (Yamashita) could be together with the crew on a Japanese tank (Type97_Shinhoto), I already had available here.

Note that once installed, you will find this Japanese tank and the hero, along with the German units (ge Type97_ShinHoTo) and (ge Yamashita hero).
This was the solution found so far for the Codename Panzer could "recognize" the Japanese commander in your tank.
