It's true. Actually there are many versions, all very similar, and the russians did not even bother to call them differently. In fact, the different denominations of the KV1 is due to the Germans.

Therefore, I recommend focusing on the model made between 1939 and 1940 or 1941, with the riveted turret and are the most numerous.
The guns used in these years are the L11 and the F32 (76 mm). The gun of the year 1942 is the Zis-5 (76,2 mm y more long)

Here I put some examples:

KV1 (Model 1939-1941)

KV1 (Model 1942 and gun type Zis-5)

I hope this information will serve to make a decision.

My congratulations to 1C. By the way..., Who is 1C? ¿1C Company, The creators of "Men of War"? ¿Can you convert these units?

The anti-aircraft gun Flack 30 it is very beautiful. A great job.
If anything, I have a few comments to make about the model.

-The wheels are too wide, disproportionate. In the original model are thinner, similar to those used in the gun PaK 36. (See photo)
Perhaps that is why you notice a mistake between wheel and rim.

-During the shooting, the recoil movement is reversed.
-When the model is towed or pushed, there are 3 brands of tires

But I guess you already know all this.
In any case, it is a great contribution. Good work, Vpf2.
Thank you. I was eager to get my hands on this model.

I'll fix these problems, thanks for noticing them.

"Фирма 1C" is a Russian company. Yes, the base for this unit was converted from the game "Theatre of War". Actually, it's a very long and frustrating process. It takes about 2 hours to convert/optimize/and put together from parts the whole unit in MAX. Then you link the textures and finally configure it in the 4D Editor. This is my very first conversion, so more units are gonna come out soon.

P.S. Do you know what's wrong with the CDV Website? Is it just me or the forums aren't accessible anymore. If so, you are very welcome to communicate here.

I have the same problem with CDV. I can not access the Website. I do not know that it is happening. I hope that problem only be temporary.
If the problem has not gotten solved within some days, would be necessary to do something. In this website there are people very valid, very kind, and they have helped me very much. We can not lose contact. I would lament it very much. If you obtain news in this connection, I would thank you that you expose them at this forum.

With regard to that new source of units provided by "Theatre of War", I consider that it is a great news. I hope to be able to enjoy a lot of new units.
it possible to convert objects also?

Saludos.

I heard some of you were talking about how the game is "messed" up. I mean some of the biggest mods take about 4-6GB of space because they have tons of file doubles. Many of them are the same files but simply have different names. This kind of problem is very hard to fix. So I'm very happy to announce that Codename: PANZERS Phase 3 will NOT have this problem. All the files are being double checked, so that only the important ones stay put. Also all the files converted from Rush for Berlin were reclassified. This means that you will no longer see the -new tag"filename-new.4d". A lot of information about the Phase 3 mod has not been released to the public, so I will state the main points:
- CP3 (Codename: Panzers Phase 3) will have all the units/objects/buildings/roads/tiles/shaders/sounds/effects/etc. from Rush for Berlin converted and integrated.
- CP3 will have the main things from S.W.I.N.E. integrated.
- CP3 will have some of the custom content created by TrippelXXX, Al_Capone, Panther 2, Skinny and many others, who will be fully credited integrated.
- CP3 will have the newest units like the recently released Panzer III M, Panzer III N, M2 Browning MG, Somua S35 and many many others.
- CP3 will have constant content updates. In other words, you will be able to download more units/maps/buildings, etc. every couple of weeks.
- CP3 will have new custom sound effects and a new soundtrack, brand new menus, an updated interface.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. I don't want to be specific about the release date because of all studies and exams. But probably I'll manage to release this mod somewhere in the end of spring. Until then you will have new small updates like new units and stuff like that.

A great job done with the Panzer III-M. Congratulations.
Although, the value of damage (fire power) is very high, no? Only had a 50 mm cannon, and is configurated to destroy a tank with a single shot.
On the other hand, there is a small error in the movement of the unit: The wheels spin properly, in the right direction, but chains do the opposite.

The skins are fine, but I miss the desert version skin, the german cross and the numeration. You know, the little details.

The work of compilation and adaptation of all existing files is very necessary.
I hope you're ready the mod soon, so we can start creating maps playable by all.
I advise that the files "unit" of the new units are configured for be availables in the list "Headquarters" of the game mode "Battle".

Un Saludo

Hi all

I am back after a long time away. Sometimes real life can be to much.

Happy to see you guys still active.

Have made a Panzer 3 version J conversion using the panzer model M. Good work there Vpf2 smile

This version is in desert skin. Will also upload the model M in desert skin later today.

Numerations is not possible cause you only have one side of turret or skirts. Will however place balkenkreuts and units insignia later. Will also finetune it later.

Still need help Vfp2?, just let me know.

Good Job, Grandslam.

The version J with desert skin is very fine.
But you should rename the file tga and make the change in the 4d archive.
Otherwise, your skin replaces to skin converted by Vpf2. (Panzer III-M unit)

Un Saludo.

Hey Grandslam, good to see you again. The desert skin for the Panzer III M is NOT necessary because it is already made. Thanks, for reporting the problems. I was testing the unit and forgot to change the damage to 50. There is no need for Panzer III J as it is also made. I'm going to upload some photos to show you how the units look like. Currently I'm in progress of creating a 88mm PaK 43 (both mobile and fixed versions). Here's a HD image showing the fixed PaK 43 in 3DS Max:

And here's the desert version of the Panzer III M. I'll release it soon.

A great Job, Grandslam.

I have been able to see the website of "Theater of war" through the link provided by Krisstof in past march month.
All units are very nice and they can contribute much to the game, even light vehicles and cars, including:
Fiat PF 508, Gaz M1 y 67, Horch 830, Ford FAT 2, etc...

I hope that you will not forget them.

Saludos.

Great work, Grandslam up now you've completely learned to convert models.

I didn't have a lot of free time before because of my exams, but now I do. So you'll be seeing more updates shortly.

Here's another wreck model. It's for the Panzer III N. I like it much more than the one for Ausf. M.
