Thanks to everyone who voted in the recent poll where you could have chosen which unit you wanted to see in Panzers. The results are the following:
1st place - Panzer III Ausf. M (Germany).
2nd place - Somua S35 (France).

These two units are going to be released soon.

Hey all,

I've almost finished converting the Panzer III M. It just needs some final testing before the release. Here's a picture of it standing near a Panzer III N:

@Swed1206, I don't know about the other units but the M8 Greyhound and the NKL-16 are going to be released in the nearest future. Thanks for your interest.

Update:

The unit has been recently released to public. You can find more information and download it here. You are welcome to use this thread to discuss the quality of the mod.

The model is very nice, needs some tuning though. The firepower was way to high. And the armour has to be set using what they actually improved on various models. So here is a rounddown of all panzer 3 models and what improvement they actually did.

* Panzer III Ausf. A, B, C, D - Pre-production models in 1937-1938. 75 produced.
* Panzer III Ausf. E, F - Production models 1939-1940. Armed with 3.7 cm KwK 36 L/46.5 (later 5 cm KwK 38 L/42) guns. 531 produced.
* Panzer III Ausf. G - More armour on gun mantlet. Armed with 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 gun. 600 produced in 1940-1941.
* Panzer III Ausf. H - Minor modifications. Bolt-on armor added to front and rear hull (30 mm + 30 mm plates). 308 produced in 1940-1941.
* Panzer III Ausf. I - Variant mentioned in Allied intelligence reports but not an actual existing vehicle.
* Panzer III Ausf. J - The hull was lengthened. Front armor increased to 50 mm plate. 482 produced in 1941.
* Panzer III Ausf. J¹ - Equipped with the longer and more powerful 5 cm KwK 39 L/60 gun. 1,067 produced in late 1941 to mid 1942.
* Panzer III Ausf. K - Panzerbefehlswagen command tank variant with a modified turret. Carried actual main armament rather than a dummy gun as found on other Panzer III command versions.
* Panzer III Ausf. L - Uparmored to 50 mm + 20 mm plates. 653 produced in 1942.
* Panzer III Ausf. M - Minor modifications such as deep-wading exhaust and schurzen. 250 produced in 1942-1943.
* Panzer III Ausf. N - Armed with a short barreled 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 gun, due to 7.5cm gun's ability to fire HEAT rounds. 700 re-equipped J/L/M models in 1942-1943.

I see that the M model is setup to use 75mm gun effects. This should be changed to a smaller gun and damage set to 60 for a J model cause it had a better 50mm gun that the earlier version did. 60 also for a M type but then with a 20 up in armour from the skirts.

And can i get the mg next to the driver on the J model??? I see you have it on the N version. And sad to see that you cant use numbers on turrets/skirts. Any way to fix that???

Hey,

I repaired the unit's firepower and other properties. This was my mistake because I was doing some testing and forgot to change the settings back to normal. The firepower is now 50 as it should be, also the caterpillar belt will be functioning properly.

Download ONLY THE UNIT FILES or Download THE WHOLE UNIT (updated in the downloads section)

I guess that's it.

Excellent job VPf2, your Pz III is quite accurate, excepted some minor details as mentioned by Grandslam.
The flaps of the commander cupola are missing, unfortunately..
Using the Java4d editor, it is possible to transform it into an ausf L, just by removing the skirts, of course, the exhaust will not be accurate but....
I recently created some skins for Pz2 ( mods RfB), such as Wittmann's Tiger #205 at VillersBocage, a german tank commander usable in the turrets of the new models and I work also on a map of VillersBocage.
Thank you for the job again!

Hi

That's great, PantherG, maybe you can share some of the skins with the rest of us. It is very easy actually, you just need to upload them to MediaFire/FileFront or whatever and then go to Downloads and click [Upload] on the top right corner.Then you will need to copy the link.
There's no need to transform any of my units into other units. Because I already converted Panzer III Ausf.'s J, M and N (so far). You will see all of them when I release Codename: PANZERS Phase 3.

Hi VPf2 !

It's a good news to know that you have already made Pz3 J and N, in desert skins too ! That's great!
Will the ausf J have a short barrel 5cm kwk L42? That would be nice especially for lybian desert.
A soon as I Have completed the new skins, I will upload them.
